Udupi: State BJP chief BY Vijayendra has stated that the party will take appropriate action against former minister KS Eshwarappa at the right time.
Speaking to reporters, Vijayendra stated that the party’s high command is closely monitoring Eshwarappa’s decision to contest as an independent from the Shivamogga Lok Sabha seat against current MP BY Raghavendra, and they are prepared to act accordingly.
Expressing confidence in Raghavendra’s victory, Vijayendra asserted that the incumbent would secure a margin of at least two lakh votes in the upcoming election. He attributed this to Raghavendra’s development initiatives and the enduring charisma of Prime Minister Modi.
Vijayendra also highlighted the prevailing political climate in the state, noting that the tide is in favor of the BJP. He said that the people have decided to choose Prime Minister Modi to lead the country for a third term, evident from the absence of state ministers contesting in the general election due to the Modi wave.
Furthermore, the state BJP chief criticized the state government’s inability to maintain law and order, describing it as deteriorating with each passing day.
Regarding the Congress’ “Chombu” campaign, which portrays the Modi government as neglectful towards Karnataka, Vijayendra dismissed it as a desperate move borne out of the party’s anticipation of a significant electoral defeat. He asserted that the people of Karnataka have received substantial benefits from the central government under Modi’s leadership, rendering the Congress’ claims baseless.
