Udupi : Dr Sanjeev M Patil, hitherto Superintendent of Police (SP) of Udupi district has been transferred. Laxman Nimbargi has been posted as new Superintendent of Police of Udupi District.
Dr. Sanjeev M Patil has been promoted as Deputy Commissioner of Police – Administration in Bangaluru.
The incoming SP hails from Indi in Vijayapura district, but currently settled in Chitradurga where he pursued Engineering and appeared for UPSC examinations in 2014.
Dr. Sanjeev M Patil started the Phone in programme to find solutions for the issues of the people directly. He won the confidence and hearts of the people. He took strict action against Matka bidders all over the district and sent a proposal to the district administration to book them under the Goonda Act. The relationship between the department officials and the people was excellent during in his tenure as SP of Udupi district.
