Udupi: It might be backwards during the legislative assembly elections in coastal districts for the Congress party, however, due to implementing five Guarantees schemes of the government, the Congress party became stronger. The government’s five Guarantees will be helpful for the party, said Madhu Bangerappa, Minister for School Education and Literacy department.

After accepting the honour from the District Congress Committee at District Congress Bhavan here at Nairkere on Tuesday, August 29, Madhu Bangerappa said that those who gave votes for the BJP have also come to the Congress party. Those who criticized the five Guarantees of the government were first to submit the application for the guarantees. Most of the voters of BJP also benefit from the guarantee schemes of the government. He said, there could be little backwardness during the election, but the Congress party is proceeding towards the front foot. The Congress leaders are always with the people and respond to any problems of them, he said.

Congress leader Prasadraj Kanchan said that the government should give importance to government-run school development.
