Kundapur: A man stabbed his wife in full public view suspecting her of infidelity. The incident took place in broad daylight near Trasi church on Friday, February 19.
Chandra Poojary, hailing from Haklady is married to Reshma for almost five years. He was working at a hotel in Pune. Recently, he quit his job and since then, was residing with his wife and daughter at his in-laws’ house.
On Friday evening, while Reshma and her mother were on their way to fetch their daughter from school, Chandra confronted her, hurled abuses and then allegedly stabbed her on the stomach with a knife suspecting her to have a paramour.
Reshma, who sustained critical injuries, was rushed to a private hospital. She is said to be fighting for life. Gangolli police arrested Chandra and registered a case against him.
