Pentagenarian found dead in Moodubelle, cops suspect murder

Udupi: The corpse of a man has been discovered in Moodubelle village in Shirva, Udupi.

The body found in ‘Edmeru Thakadabailu’ forest is identified as that of Andrew Martis (55). His body was found with the hands and legs tied. There was also a rope around his neck leading to the suspicion of murder.

His sister had reportedly seen him leave with three of his friends on bike. The body of the deceased was found around 9.30 AM. It is being said that Martis was addicted to alcohol.

ASI Krishna Acharya conducted a spot inquest. A case has been registered and investigation is on.
