Udupi: MLA Yash Pal Suvarna has addressed the issue surrounding a video that was filmed in a private college’s restroom. He calls for appropriate action against the misbehaving female students, as their actions have brought disgrace to the district and sparked suspicions of the potential involvement of jihadist organizations.

He strongly opposes the installation of a video camera in the restroom, considering it inappropriate and possibly motivated by a hidden agenda or conspiracy. MLA Yash Pal Suvarna urges the authorities to handle the matter diligently, particularly concerning the three students involved. He plans to bring this matter to the attention of the Chief Minister and the Home Minister for further action.

He voices his concern about the unfair targeting of individuals working for the organization. Expressing doubts about the actions of jihadist organizations, he plans to visit the college and discuss the matter with the concerned parties. Regardless of the existence of the video clip, he emphasizes the importance of a thorough investigation and promises to fight for justice without delay. The incident has raised doubts about the actions of three Muslim female students, and he places his trust in the Udupi Police Department to handle the case appropriately.

MLA Yash Pal Suvarna acknowledges the response of Rashmi Samanth, who tweeted about the incident, to the police enquiry. He believes that such intimidation cannot be tolerated by the national conscience. In response, he intends to visit Rashmi Samanth’s house and have a conversation with her. Additionally, he will bring this matter to the attention of the Home Minister for further consideration and action.

While the Additional Superintendent of Police for Udupi, ST Siddalingappa, clarified that the incident was confined solely to the college and had no communal implications. He stated that after a thorough examination of the phone, they did not discover any such video. The investigation was comprehensive, and there was no evidence of the video being shared. According to the Additional SP, it was an isolated occurrence in the college and had no communal aspect. Furthermore, the alleged victim expressed reluctance to file a police complaint.
