Udupi: The Hindu Jagarana Vedike, Vishwa Hindu Parishat and Bajrang Dal will be organising a state level protest on October 11.

Speaking to media persons at the Udupi Press Club on October 9, Assistant Convener of Bajarang Dal, Mangaluru Division, Sunil K R said that even though the “Islamic fundamental groups have been involved in the murders of various Hindu leaders” in the state, the government had not taken any action against them. He claimed that the rights of Hindus were not being protected by the government. He also accused the government of supporting the Islamic fundamentalists for the purpose of maintaining the vote bank.

He further accused the state government of protecting cattle traffickers. “The state government’s anti-Hindi policies are condemnable,” he said.

He also claimed that the government had been using the police by filing cases against Hindus, most prominently Hindu leader Dr. Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat.

Hindu Jagarana Vedike, Bajrang Dal and VHP will be holding their protests in 28 places of the Udupi district.

Prashanth Nayak Karkala, District President of the Vedike, Dinesh Mendon, Rathnakar Kota, Prakash Kukkehalli and others were present during the press meet.
