Udupi: Keshav Kumar, a member of Haradi Taluk Panchayat died in a road mishap on Saturday, October 24.
According to sources, the motorcycle Keshav was riding hit a fish-laden lorry. The impact of the collision was such that Keshav fell onto the road. The lorry ran over him killing him on the spot. The accident took place near Hotel Mantapa in Saligrama.
Keshav had rendered his service twice, as the president of Haradi Gram Panchayat. He was also a member of the managing committee of Haradi Timmanna Nayakeshwara temple and Baikady Gandhinagar Nagabana Samiti.
Keshav is survived by wife and four children. His wife Gouri is the president of Thirthahalli Gram Panchayat.
A case has been registered at Kota police station.
