Udupi: The Udupi District has the highest rainfall in the State, with various locations in the district receiving the most rainfall five times between 2015 and 2021.
Now, Agumbe has been recognised with the place with highest rainfall place tag.
As per the Karnataka State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA), Udupi District topped the rainfall charts except for 2015 and 2018.
According to sources, Bairampalli had recorded the highest rain in 2016 (5,916mm). Shiralu in Karkala Taluk received 6,936 mm of rain the following year.
