Udupi: BJP candidate from Kapu assembly constituency Gurme Suresh Shetty, accompanied by thousands of party workers, fans and well-wishers, took out a padayatra on Monday April 17 and filed his nomination at the returning officer’s office.
He along with his wife Vijaya Shetty offered prayers at Kapu Sri Lakshmi Janardhana Temple. As a prelude to this, he visited various temples including Kapu Sri Hale Marigudi Temple, Sri Hosa Marigudi Temple, Eluru Sri Vishweshwara Temple, Kalathur Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple and offered prayers.
Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai, Ministers Kota Srinivas Poojary,Sunil Kumar, BJP District President Kuyiladi Suresh Nayak, MLAs Lalaji R. Mendon, Raghupathi Bhat, Udupi BJP candidate Yashpal Suvarna were present on the occassion.
