Udupi: Chain snatcher found in Koppal after five years

Three Bihar natives arrested in Assam for trading fake gold

Udupi: Prakash alias Pakeerappa, who was absconding seven years ago after being convicted on charges of chain-snatching, was traced and handed over to a Court at Madanur in Koppal District by the Hebri Police.

In 2010, he was robbed of a chain near Hebri Bunts Bhavan 5 years ago. After facing trial, Court sentenced the accused to one-year imprisonment after being found guilty. Knowing this, he went into hiding.

Under the guidance of Hebri Police Station Sub-Inspectors Nandakumar M. M. and Niranjan Hegde, Station Crime Officer Raj Kurma, Warrant Staff Suresh Kumar and Bharatha arrested the accused from Madanur in Koppal District and produced him before the Court.
