Udupi: Five injured in auto-pickup van collision

Udupi: Five persons were injured when a pick-up vehicle collided with an autorickshaw in Kundapur at the Hemmadi of Vattumudi on evening of Saturday February 25.

Autorickshaw driver Narayan and passenger Kusuma (48) sustained serious injuries, while Chandrashekhar (53), Chirag (17) and Janhvi (15) sustained minor injuries. The injured have been admitted to a hospital.

Due to the accident, the rickshaw climbed on divider and the pickup vehicle got down from the road and stopped at the edge of the stream. Both the rickshaw and the pick-up were plying from Byndoor towards Kundapur.

Kundapur Traffic Police visited the spot and a case has been registered against the pick-up driver Darshan.
