Udupi: Four arrested for kidnapping, robbing nursing students

Udupi: It has been reported that two students returning to their residence were kidnapped, assaulted, and robbed by a gang on Tuesday, August 30.

Four have been arrested for the crime from Shirva and identified as Zakriya, Razeem, Rehman, and Khalid. B. Biju and Mohammed Sinan are the nursing students.

The four were allegedly kidnapped by the passengers in the car which they reportedly attempted to take lift from but backed off after foul smell emanated from the car. They were threatened at the gun point. The abductors demanded Rs. 2 lakh from them for their release l. However, one managed to escape and informed the Udupi City Police. A case has been registered.
