Udupi: Girl killed after tipper-bike collision near Ucchila

Udupi: An 18-year-old girl died in a tipper-bike collision on NH 66 near Ucchila.

The deceased has been identified as Ayisha Nihala (18), a native of Kanchinadka.

According to sources, Ayisha and Mohammed Sharif, a Belapu native, were travelling by bike on Wednesday November 16. The bike was hit from behind by a tipper at the autorickshaw stand on NH 66. The rear tyre struck the bike leaving pillion rider Ayisha severely injured.

Ayisha passed away on the way to the hospital, informed the police.

According to the sources, Ayisha and Sharif were ready to get married in January 2023 and were engaged.

The disaster happened while both were travelling to buy wedding dresses in Udupi.
