Udupi: A fire broke out at Durgarashmi Hardware Shop owned by Raviraj Shetty Cherkady near Urdu School in front of a mosque on National Highway 66 at Nagur in Byndoor Taluk due to an electric short circuit causing a loss of lakhs of rupees on Sunday March 12.
The fire broke out at around 2.00 pm on Sunday due to an electrical short circuit at Durgarashmi Hardware Shop.
Byndoor Fire Brigade personnel rushed to the spot and tried their best to douse the fire. Byndoor Police Station staff and locals were involved in the operation to douse the flames.
