Udupi: The villagers of Imbali area of Japti Village have put up banners and warned that they will boycott all the upcoming elections unless their demands, including sewerage and drinking water problems, are met.

The road connecting Imbali Nagabana in the Secondary Ward of Japti village has not been developed so far. For the past 16 years, it has remained as a normal raw road.

During the rainy season, school children and the common man are suffering a lot due to the chaos on this road. The demand for drinking water has not been fulfilled, and the drainage problem has not been solved. All the people of the area have threatened to boycott the elections en masse as the village development is neglected

For a long time, the villagers have been appealing to the concerned people’s representatives and authorities about the demand. However, there has been no response.
