He was speaking at a special lecture on ‘Earthquake and its impact on society’ organised in memory of I.M. Jayaram Shetty as part of the Founder’s Day celebrations of IMJ Educational Institutions at Moodlakatte.
Elaborating on the earthquakes that have taken place in different parts of the world and the losses and ill-effects they have caused to the society, he said necessary steps should be taken during the construction of buildings.
