Udupi: A case has been registered at Malpe Police Station on the complaint of Praveen Belchada (44), a resident of Nidamballi in Nejaru, who had gone missing since Tuesday October 18 after saying that he would leave for sometime or come home in the morning.

Praveen married Sandhya six years ago and has been staying at his mother’s house for the past three years due to husband-wife differences. Praveen used to go to his relative Prakash’s house for lunch.

Praveen’s mobile phone was switched off. The next day, a neighbour told that he had locked the door and left the key outside the house. The relatives opened the door of the house and when they looked inside, on the table they found a written note saying “I am responsible for my own death”. Praveen is 5.6 feet tall and wheatish complexioned. The public has been requested to contact Malpe Police Station if they get any information about the missing person.
