Udupi: MLA Udupi MLA Yash Pal Suvarna Tuesday June 13 held a meeting with the officials of the Fisheries Department and the Port Department and the leaders of the fishermen’s organisation at the hall of the Malpe Fishermen’s Association.
In the meeting, they consulted about the preparation of guidelines for the renewal of pass book, port cleanliness, security and orderly management to the local fishermen’s organisations for the next fishing season and taking action for the development of infrastructure for fishing activities.
Malpe Fishermen’s Association President Dayananda K. Suvarna, Fisheries Department Joint Director Vivek, Port Department Engineer Srinivasa Murthy, Malpe Fishermen Association office bearers, leaders of various fishermen organisations, Women Fishermen Association office bearers and department officials were present.
