Udupi: A pedestrian was hit by a motorbike while crossing the road and sustained serious injuries on Saturday January 21.
The injured pedestrian has been identified as Sadananda Devadiga (48), a resident of Belman.
Devadiga was knocked to the road by a motorbike heading from Mangaluru to Udupi as he crossed the National Highway near Padubidri. He sustained head injuries in the incident.
He received first aid and was then taken to KMC Hospital in Manipal for further treatment. The rider, Yashwanth, is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Padubidri.
A case has been registered at Padubidri Police Station in this regard.
