Udupi: The State Government has issued an official order regarding the establishment of Brahmarshi Narayana Guru Development Corporation for the all-round development of the Billava community.
It has been a long-standing demand of the Billava community, one of the backward castes in the State, to set up a separate corporation for the all-round development of the community and for the propagation of the philosophy of Brahmarishi Narayana Guru.
A few days ago, Energy, Kannada and Cultural Minister V. Sunil Kumar met Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai along with seers and community leaders and submitted a memorandum to set up the corporation. CM Bommai’s promise to take necessary action in the Budget has now come into effect.
By responding to the establishment of Narayana Guru Development Corporation, the Government has done as promised. I congratulate CM Basavaraj Bommai for this, stated Energy, Kannada and Cultural Minister V. Sunil Kumar.
