Udupi: Students wearing hijab allowed to be seated in separate classrooms

Udupi: Students wearing hijab have been allowed to enter the campus of Government PU College in Kundapura, Udupi District on Monday February 7.

According to the school administration, such students will be seated in separate classrooms.

“In Kundapura, the situation is under control, and students are permitted to attend college and campus even if they are wearing hijab. There is no law and order situation in Kundapur,” informed Udupi Additional Superintendent of Police S. T. Siddalingappa.

On Friday, students protested near the campus after they were allegedly denied entry to Government PU College for wearing hijab.
