Udupi: A customer was seriously injured when a tipper rammed into a dhaba near Manikatte Cross in Kundapur here in the District on Monday February 20.
The tipper, which was carrying soil from Kundapur to Gulwadi, suddenly broke into the Swaroop Family Dhaba owned by Mohammed Haneef near Manikatte Circle. Haneef and his son Nizamuddin, who were in the dhaba, escaped unhurt while the customer, Abidin, sustained serious injuries. The driver’s negligent driving is said to be the reason for the accident.
The items inside the hotel were damaged in the accident. It is estimated that there has been a huge loss of over Rs. 3 Lakh.
A complaint has been registered at Kundapur Rural Police Station.
