Udupi: The unscientific construction of Hemmadi Circle in Kundapur Taluk of the District has created a lot of problems for motorists.
Hemmadi Circle, which has a four-lane road, has been constructed unscientifically due to which several accidents have taken place here causing loss of life. It is difficult for pedestrians to cross the road and the public has demanded that a signal light should be installed.
It is the main circle that connects the world famous Sri Kshetra Kollur Mookambika Temple and the famous Sri Kshetra Maranakatte Brahmalingeshwara Temple, which attracts thousands of devotees and the public from across the State on a daily basis.
Locals complained that buses are parked in the middle of the busy circle and passengers are being picked up and there is no one to listen to them.
It is the demand of the public that traffic police personnel should be deployed to facilitate smooth flow of traffic at Hemmadi Circle.
