Udupi: After a series of allegations were levelled against him by Shiroor seer Lakshmivaratheertha Swamiji, Pejawar Math seer Vishveshatheertha Swamiji has said that he would abdicate the Peeta if someone proves the allegations made against him.
It may be recalled that Shiroor seer, before his mysterious demise had levelled allegations against Ashtamath seers specifically stating that a few seers have had fathered children. He had stated that Pejawar seer has a daughter who is settled in Chennai.
Talking on these lines the senior seer said that he has neither had an illicit relation nor does he have children. “These allegations are all far from the truth. There are allegations that I also have a son.
These are rumours and I am ready for any kind of probe in this regard,” he said adding that he feels bogged down when every small and big incident in Ashtamath and others Mathas are connected to him.
“When Raghuvallabha Theertha Swamiji, Manojna Theertha Swamiji and Subrahmanya Swamiji gave up the Peetha, I was targeted. When Vishwavijaya Swamiji voluntarily left the Pejawar Math without my knowledge, I was made answerable. I have been targeted for everything, which is not fair,” he said.
