Speaking to the media in Hubballi today, Joshi said that the CM’s action makes it seem as if the police should run away from the police stations.

Joshi said that it is condemnable that anyone, not just Muslims, should throw stones at a police station, damage vehicles and create riots. However, he objected to the CM taking action against the police in this case.

“The police brought a person with a criminal background for questioning. He developed a health problem during that time. He was immediately admitted to the hospital. But what justice is it to suspend the DYSP and CPI on the orders of the CM?” he asked.

Why not the same quick action in Neha, Anjali murder case as in Channagiri?: Joshi questioned why Chief Minister Siddaramaiah did not take the same quick action in the Neha murder and Anjali murder case in Hubballi as he did in the Channagiri case.

Politics of appeasement leading to anarchy: Joshi said that CM Siddaramaiah is playing politics of appeasement in the state. This is leading to anarchy, he warned.

“He did the same thing in the Rameshwar Cafe case. He did not take quick action in any incident like the murder of Neha and Anjali. He told there should be an investigation. But it seems he didn’t feel the need for an investigation in the Channagiri case. He immediately took action against the police officers. This is demoralizing the police force,” Minister Joshi objected.
