Police reported the seizure of a significant quantity of explosives from a private car at a check post located on the Karnataka-Andhra border in a district. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Nangali police station, authorities confirmed on Monday.
The arrest took place at the Nangali check post in Mulbagal taluk of the district on Sunday. The seized items included 1,200 gelatin sticks, seven boxes of detonator wire, and six detonators, all of which were being transported in the private car.
A senior police officer stated that one suspect has been arrested in connection with the case, while efforts are underway to apprehend his accomplice who remains at large. Investigations are ongoing to determine whether the explosives were intended for illegal quarrying activities.
