Hubballi: Ahead of the State budget, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday January 15 asked the people of the North Karnataka region to wait and watch for the gift.
Speaking to mediapersons he said that department-wise discussions over the budget would soon begin and then there will be a round of discussions with other associations and organisations.
He said that Siddappajja is highly regarded as a miracle man and that he has been visiting the Siddappajja Mutt to seek his blessings ever since he was a child. He claimed to have seen Siddappajja and asked for his blessings for the welfare of the nation.
“I am sure that Siddappajja will bless the people of Karnataka,” he said.
Speaking at the 903rd jayanthotsava of Sri Nija Sharana Ambigara Chowdaiah and Sharana Samskruthi Utsav held at Sukshethra Narasipur Gurupeeta at Ranebennuru in Haveri District, he said that the Gangamatastha community will soon be included in the ST category.
Bommai said that a file about the inclusion in ST is before the Registrar General of India. “This is in the final stages of approval after a discussion with Union Tribal Minister Arjun Munda. During the Cabinet meeting, it has to be approved,” he added.
