In a shocking robbery incident in Hubballi’s Ashok Nagar, a group of masked miscreants broke into the house of automobile businessman Vijay Kumar Sutaria (Sha) early on Sunday morning. The robbers, who entered around 2:30 am, tied up Sutaria, his wife, and their watchman, Virupakshayya Hiremath, to chairs. The crime was discovered later when Sutaria’s son, Sachin, woke up around 7 am and found his parents bound, while the house was in disarray, and valuables had been stolen.
Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar, who visited the crime scene, confirmed that the robbers had caused significant damage and stolen several items. He mentioned that a special team, led by DCP Law & Order Mahaning Nandagavi, is reviewing CCTV footage to track down the culprits. The Sutaria family reported that the robbers, speaking in Marathi, numbered around 4-5 individuals, and after tying up the watchman, they threw him to the ground. The police are working on gathering more details about the stolen goods to further investigate the crime.
