CM Siddaramaiah to Chair Review Meeting of KKRDB Tomorrow

Kalaburagi: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will chair a progress review meeting of the Kalyana Karnataka Regional Development Board (KKRDB) at the Chief Minister’s Office Krishna in Bengaluru on June 14, KKRDB President Dr. Ajay Singh said.

Speaking at a press conference at the KKRDB auditorium here on Wednesday, he said that a grant of Rs. 5,000 crore has been allocated for the current financial year 2024-25 and that senior officials of the planning department, including ministers from the Kalyan Karnataka region, have been invited to the meeting to ensure proper implementation and utilization of the grant within the year.

The CM has decided to hold a board meeting on June 28 after the meeting the work will be started in the current year after getting the action plan from the MLAs of the region within 15 days.

He said that last year the government announced a Rs. 5,000 crore grant for the region and released Rs. 3,000 crore grant, under which road, drainage and infrastructure construction work is in full swing in the region. 

Responding to the NEET exam scam, Dr. Ajay Singh said that the exam results were declared on the same day as the Lok Sabha election results, leading to a lot of suspicion. He demanded that an immediate investigation be conducted and action taken against the culprits. The government will not tolerate playing with the future of the children, he said.
