Kalaburagi: A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Farahtabad village, where a woman lost her life after accidentally ingesting sheep lice medicine, mistaking it for stomach pain medication.
The victim, identified as Shivamma Siddu, had been enduring persistent stomach pain for nearly five years. On the night of March 7, in an attempt to ease her discomfort, she reportedly consumed the wrong medicine, believing it to be a cure for her ailment.
Soon after taking the substance, Shivamma’s condition worsened. She collapsed and tragically passed away while being rushed to the hospital.
Police have registered a case at the Farhatabad police station and have begun an investigation to ascertain more details about the incident.
