Bellari: Former Minister Gali Janardhan Reddy visited the Khadar Thatha Masjid and offered pooja at Sri DoddaBasaveshwara Temple near Yellapura Cross in the Town.
Speaking on the occasion, he said, “I have been visiting all the temples across the District for the last one-and-a-half years. And also my visit to Kurugodu is special. I have been visiting the religious centres since I was 20 years old and that’s why I am in these two places yet again.
People here are content and still feel that it is enough to make a living by running hotels and other small businesses in life. “I have to leave the District on November 6 as i have been ordered to leave and after another four months, I will come back and visit the workers’ houses and try to talk to them.
He also said that the Sri DoddaBasaveshwara Temple in Kurugodu Town and the temple at Kenchanagudda in Siruguppa should also become famous tourist destinations. Hence, the Government has sanctioned Rs. 15,000 Crore specially under the KMF scheme, he added.
