Ballari: Three members of a family have been tested positive for COVID-19 in Ballari district, on Monday.
This takes the number of COVID-19 cases in Karnataka to 91. The state has seen 3 deaths so far in Chikkaballapura, Tumakuru and Kalaburagi.
The cases were confirmed by Ballari Deputy Commissioner SS Nakul and Karnataka Health and Family Welfare Minister B Sriramulu.
However, the source of their infection is unclear. The district administration has taken up disinfection of the affected area and health workers will do surveys to check if there is anyone who has developed symptoms of COVID-19.
Health officials are also tracing contacts and the DC has announced stringent lockdown measuresin Hosapete town where the family resides.
Meanwhile, in a heartening news, over the last two days no new positive cases were reported from Bengaluru, Dakshina Kannada and few other places.
