Bellary: Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) Bellary has been in news for many wrong reasons and this time again the institute has hit headline after a doctor here allegedly tried to take advantage of a gullible woman who had come to the hospital due to her physically handicapped son.
The lady in question had come to the hospital to procure the physical disability certificate for her son when Somanna, the doctor working in the ENT Department made an offer to the lady that he would straight away give the certificate to her son without any tests and examinations if she was ready to ‘compromise’.
In her complaint, the lady has said that the doctor tried to touch her inappropriately thereafter.
The doctor has gone missing and the police who have registered the case are on a manhunt.
