Bidar: The Central Government is not giving the 7 lakh tonnes of rice that is in the State, said Minister Ishwar Khandre.
Speaking in Bidar, he said that the BJP Government at the Centre was saying that it would not give permission to the State Government in an open auction even after the FCI had promised to provide rice to the Karnataka Government.
“As long as there is no rice system in the State, we will provide funds to the poor. The rice is likely to be supplied in three months,” he said.
“They are also levelling baseless allegations against the BJP for not having a job. None of the promises made by them have been fulfilled. Did you give Rs. 15 lakh? 2 crore jobs? Did you give shelter to the homeless? Has the income of farmers been doubled? They have lost and they say something out of frustration,” he added. Khandre asked the BJP not to take it seriously.
