Bidar: Shivaji Maharaj was a great man who fought for the good of all religions and not just for one religion. It is not appropriate to confine him to just one religion, said Bidar North MLA Rahim Khan.
He was speaking after inaugurating the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti celebrations organised by the District Administration, Zilla Panchayat and Kannada and Culture Department in association with Bidar at Channabasava Pattadevaru Rangamandira here on Sunday February 19. He suggested that children have been failing to understand the true history of Shivaji Maharaj in the recent past. “The elders should come forward to tell them the history of Chhatrapati Shivaji in the right way, he said.
“Bidar District is known for its peace and I am committed to serve you authentically if you get me a chance to serve again in the days to come,” he said.
