Bidar: Kalyana Karnataka Amrutha Mahotsava held

Bidar: Basavakalyana, the Karmabhoomi of Basavanna, will once again attract the attention of the world in the coming days, said Kalyana Karnataka Human Resource, Agriculture and Cultural Association President Dr. Basavaraj Patil Sedam.

He was speaking after inaugurating the Kalyana Karnataka Amrutha Mahotsava organised by the District Sahitya Parishath at Ranga Mandira in the City recently and the release of a book titled ‘Kicchu Kittur Rani Chennamma’ written by Vijayalakshmi Kautage. He said that the historical places of Bidar District will come to the fore again and the District will be the world to look back in the days to come.

Speaking after releasing the book, MLC Shasheel Namoshi said that the Amrit Mahotsav programme will be held in the region throughout this year. Freedom Fighter Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was a respected leader of this country. Today’s younger generation should be made aware of the freedom of this region. The aim is to make history on the independence of the Kalyan Karnataka region, he said.
