Bidar: The saffron brigade, which is determined to return to power in the State, on Friday March 3 launched the third phase of Vijay Sankalp Yatra at Basavakalyana. With this, the BJP has launched a campaign to spread the lotus in most of the Assembly constituencies in the Kalyana Karnataka region.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah flagged off the Vijay Sankalp Yatra at Ther Ground in Basavakalyan, an important religious place for Lingayats, on Friday. Later, he visited Anubhava Mantapa and offered prayers at Anubhav Mantapa, the first Parliament of World. On this occasion, he recalled the message of sharanas and vachana movement.
He has given a message that the BJP is pro-Veerashaiva-Lingayat from the land of Basavanna. The BJP is trying to woo the powerful, traditional votes of the divided Kalyana Karnataka region.
Amit Shah was felicitated with a 5 kg silver crown and mace by MLA Sharanu Salagar.
