Bidar: MLA Prabhu Chavan has been fined Rs 100 crore for making serious allegations that have tarnished people’s character. Union Minister Bhagwant Khuba is considering filing a defamation case.
Addressing the media in the city on Friday, Khuba stated, “I pledge not to commit such a grave offense in my next seven lives. Chavan is aligning with Congress for political convenience, leading to such statements.”
In the district, Chavan’s arrogance has led to a perception of BJP as synonymous with himself and vice versa. “I have informed the party high command about Chavan’s allegations. He has committed to resolving the misunderstandings. If not, I will proceed with a defamation case with the party’s approval,” he stated.
The Congress should capitalize on governing power. Chavan aims to field a dummy candidate in the Bidar Lok Sabha constituency, benefiting the Congress. “These allegations are driven by deceit, insincerity, and self-interest, lacking any substance,” he concluded.
