Kalaburgi: The second village stay programme of Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, that was scheduled for Saturday at the Herur B village of the Kalaburugi district, has been postponed due to heavy rainfalls.
According to the authorities, on Friday, the CM stayed in the Chandaraki village and was supposed to continue his village stay programme in Herur B village on Saturday.
But on Friday night, Herur B witnessed heavy rainfall and the shamiyana set up in the village collapsed. All the arrangements that were made were also washed away due to the heavy downpour.
According to sources in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the village stay programme has been postponed for an indefinite period as all the arrangements were washed away.
Speaking to ANI, the CM clarified that next month, he would announce another date.
