Kalburgi: In a scathing attack, Minister Priyank Kharge has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not know the value of the ‘Mangalsutra’. Recently, Prime Minister Modi, in an election rally, cautioned voters that if Congress forms the government, they will even snatch ‘mangalsutras‘ from women and give them to ‘infiltrators’.
Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, the minister said that Modi does not value the Mangalsutra, which is very precious to a married lady. It was Sonia Gandhi who lost her husband (lost her Mangalsutra) for the country. He also questioned why the Election Commission of India has not taken action against him for making hate speech.
He alleged that there is no level playing field in this election; the opposition is not getting enough opportunities, and the ruling party is receiving all the benefits. If the ECI fails to serve a notice to PM, what kind of elections are going on? He questioned.
While addressing a poll rally on Sunday in Rajasthan’s Banswara, Modi said that if the Congress comes to power, it would redistribute the wealth of people to Muslims. He cited former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s statement, where he claimed that minorities have the first right to the country’s resources.
