Raichur: Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi visited Shri Raghavendra Swamy Temple on the evening of Thursday at Mantralaya as part of Bharat Jodo Yatra. He considered this day special since he was the first among the Gandhi family to perform Raghavendra darshan.
The administrators of the Matha greeted them with garlands and the faculty members of the Vidyapeetha gave a grand welcome by chanting mantras. On Thursday evening, Rahul arrived in Panche and Shalya Thottu, a traditional dress, and offered Mangalarati to Goddess Manchalamma. Rahul Gandhi had darshan of original Brindavan.
Sri Matha Presiding Officer Subudhendra Teertha blessed Rahul Gandhi by offering mantrakshate. In addition to this Rahul Gandhi recited the sacred Poojyaya Raghavendraya mantra. In the end, Rahul Gandhi watched a video of the progress of the Matha.
