Raichur: Sangolli Rayanna Brigade State President, BJP leader K S Eshwarappa’s close associate K Virupakshappa, who didn’t get the ticket from the BJP has now joined the Congress.
Virupakshappa was a ticket aspirant from Sindhanoor constituency, but he failed to inspire BJP leaders and Sheshagiri Rao got the ticket. Virupakshappa joined Congress party on Wednesday, April 25, in the presence of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressing his disappointment with the BJP.
The 76-year-old leader from Kuruba community was elected as an MLA and an MP each once.
