
Karnataka Reports Alarming 222 Active Dengue Cases
As of Tuesday, Karnataka has reported 222 active dengue cases, highlighting an ongoing health concern in the state. The daily abstract issued by the Department of Health and Family Welfare indicates that 51 of these patients have been hospitalized, with one in the intensive care unit. The remaining individuals are receiving treatment at home.
In a recent update, a total of 1,588 cases were tested across the state. Notably, the highest number of cases has been reported in areas under the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), with 95 cases identified, and four of these patients have been hospitalized. The government is actively monitoring the situation and implementing measures to control the spread of the disease.
Public health officials are urging residents to take preventive measures to avoid mosquito bites and to seek medical attention if symptoms of dengue appear. Ongoing efforts include increased surveillance and community outreach to manage and mitigate the outbreak.
