The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is set to introduce 100 brand new non-AC buses named Ashwamedha Classic. next week
These buses boast a fresh design, offering wider legroom along with a host of other amenities. The concept was trialed last year with a prototype bus.
Operating as point-to-point express vehicles, they will connect various district headquarters to Bengaluru, according to a KSRTC official. Notable features include vehicle location trackers, panic buttons, and public address systems.
Adhering to Bharat Stage 6 norms, the buses are distinguishable by their taller stature, broader rear and front windscreens, and larger passenger window panes. The unveiling ceremony will take place outside the Vidhana Soudha on Monday, officiated by CM Siddaramaiah.
