Chikkamagaluru: MLA, H.D. Thammaiah said that India’s culture and culture is unique in the world and it is the responsibility of all of us to preserve and nurture it.

He was speaking after participating in the ‘Sri Subramanyaswamy Avatarotsava’ programme organised at Kumaragiri Sri Subramanyaswamy Temple in the taluk.

Such a culture and culture can be found only in our country. I have been to many countries of the world. There is no ‘Sanskar and Sanskruti’ anywhere, its only in our country, he said.

Even though the British ruled our country for two hundred years, the culture of our country still remains. “The Tamil community is saving our Sanskar by conducting the Avatarotsavam of Sri Subramanya Swamy, various societies should be able to preserve and nurture the  culture of the country by organizing religious programmes. if our country has grown magnificently it is because of the culture that we have, he said.

“If our country remains culturally rich in the world, Then we are all blessed to be born in a beautiful country. We are all blessed to be born in our Chikmagalur district,” he said.

He said that he would extend full cooperation to the cultural programmes in Chikkamagaluru constituency and would extend necessary cooperation for the development of Kumaragiri Sri Subramanya Temple.
