Chikkamagaluru: The body of a youth, who was murdered around nine months ago, was dumped in the Charmadi Ghat premises, following which an inspector, PSI and staff led by a DCP of Cubbon Park Police in Bengaluru arrived on Tuesday January 3 to trace the body.
With the help of the local police and the general public, a search has been launched in the valleys of Banakal Police Station limits in the District and Ghat areas under Dharmasthala Police Station limits.
Sharath, a resident of Konanakunte in Bengaluru, had taken a loan and was running around without repaying it. Enraged by this, the gang kidnapped Sharath and killed him. H. Sharath had taken lakhs of rupees from the residents of Chikkamagaluru and Yelahanka and promised to get a vehicle at subsidised rates. But he cheated the people by not getting them a car. A case of cheating was registered against Sharath. People have also asked for the money to be returned to a man from Chikkaballapura. On the request of the people, he had asked his son to recover the money. It is heard that Sharath’s kidnapping and murder plan started from here.
