Chikkamagaluru: A man who had been wanted for his alleged involvement in the throwing of metal nails along the route to the disputed place of worship, prior to the Datta Jayai celebrations on December 6, surrendered before a court here.
The accused Azam Pasha, a resident of Chikkamagaluru’s Gauri Canal, fled the scene after the incident.
The police had earlier arrested Mohammed Shahbaz (29) and Waheed Hussain (21) in connection with the incident.
The accused people intentionally threw nails on the road leading to the shrine to cause accidents involving vehicles travelling to the celebration.
