Chikkamagaluru: Pradeep (30) from Sunnadahalli in Tarikere taluk of Chikkamagaluru district, was killed instantly when firecrackers exploded on him.
Another individual suffered severe injuries, while three children, including Kushal, a sixth-grade student, sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment at Meggan Hospital.
Pradeep, seated under a chair, ignited (stone atom bomb) crackers, resulting in a fall of 5 feet from the impact, leading to his immediate death. The fatality resulted from severe injuries to a sensitive area of the body. Another young individual accompanying Pradeep also suffered serious injuries. Additionally, three children were injured, and the stone atom bomb blast shattered the glass panes of the house.
The occurrence transpired within the jurisdiction of the Tarikere police station.
