Hassan: A sum of Rs. 1.50 Crore has been given for the renovation of the historic Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple at Nuggehalli in Channapattana Taluk of the District.
The money was donated by Nagarathnamma and Nagendra couple and a bhoomipooja was performed.
Speaking on the occasion, Nagarathna Nagendra said, “We used to come to the Temple for many years as devotees of the legendary Lakshminarasimha Swamy Temple. The roof of the temple was leaking due to the rain,” he noted.
“I was saddened to see that this would not only cause a lot of trouble to the devotees, but it was also the place where the God who protected us had resided. So we are trying to develop it,” he said.
